The objects of ILI research are the theory and practice of economic development, the transition of countries' economies from the socialist (Soviet) model to the capitalist one, the role and place of human, business, and the state in creating wealth and prosperity, as well as liberty, as a key intangible asset of the 21st century.

We study and describe an Individual in the processes of production, exchange, consumption of goods and services in real life, in an environment of a wide variety of motives, values and interests.

For us, an Individual is a living subject who acts, selects goals and means independently, decides where to invest, on what terms to interact with others.

We do research into how to ensure the realization of human rights and freedoms, including the right to private property, in conditions of objectively limited resources and in the mode of division of labor.

We investigate how to build relations between the State, business and the People to ensure peace, prosperity, and realization of personal plans by people in the mode of voluntary, mutually beneficial exchange among themselves in the conditions of liberty.

The National Economic Security Index, the Common Sense Economy Index, and the Social Welfare Index of ILI are three original tools for assessing various aspects of the economic activity of an Individual, Business, and the State. They are sources of information and recommendations for improving the quality of public administration, economic policy, and mechanisms for interaction between owners, investors, producers, entrepreneurs, and consumers.
