Presentation of the Index of Common Sense Economics 2026

February 25, 2026 (Wednesday)
13:30-14:30 (GMT+02)
Kyiv
We are presenting the Index of Common Sense Economics 2026, which is based on six authoritative international indices covering all major parameters of human development and economic growth in 144 countries worldwide:
  1. Human Freedom Index from the Cato Institute;
  2. Economic Freedom Index from the Fraser Institute;
  3. International Property Rights Index from the Property Rights Alliance;
  4. Rule of Law Index from the World Justice Project;
  5. Prosperity Index from the Atlantic Council;
  6. Global Innovation Index from WIPO.
A live presentation with online streaming will take place at the press center of the Interfax-Ukraine news agency (Kyiv). We invite journalists to attend the event and ask questions to the speakers.
The Common Sense Economics Index is being presented for the second time. We have expanded the list of countries and are showing the dynamics of changes across the five groups of the Index, analyzing the reasons for improvements or deteriorations in countries' positions in the ranking of common sense in the economy.
The Index of the Common Sense Economics serves as a tool for determining a country's overall economic IQ. It is a universal instrument for measuring the quality of a country's economic policy, the adequacy of its government, and its adherence to the axioms of common sense.
This year, we have a new leader in the Index as well as several surprises.
Separately, the results and achievements of Ukraine for this year will be presented.
