The International Liberty Institute for Liberty presents the Common Sense Economics Index, which is based on six authoritative, internationally recognized indices. They cover all the main parameters of human development and economic growth in 131 countries around the world.
Common sense economics is the most reliable foundation for both the personal well-being of each person and long-term national strategy. The Common Sense Economics Index is a universal measuring tool for assessing the quality of economic policy in relation to the axioms of human behavior.
The index indicates the level and degree of consideration of the following main factors and parameters of human development in the development and implementation of economic policy:
- Laws of economics, the system of motivations of various economic entities;
- experience (mistakes, achievements) in the field of economic development of different countries of the world,
- the state of economic science, the quality of its interaction with the Government, business and society;
- the level of economic literacy of the Government, society and business;
- the quality of democratic institutions, the influence of society on the Government in terms of the content of economic policy;
- the quality of public administration institutions in terms of the production of those services and goods that citizens have authorized and paid for with their taxes;
- the level of understanding of the nature of modern forms of capital, including intangible assets, in particular economic freedom.
The Common Sense Economics Index is a tool for determining the economic IQ of a country as a whole.
